  Why I will NEVER become a Jehovahs Witness

  because they are insane.

  mabey not all of them, but the one's i've been exposed to so far have some serious mental problems.

  and for the record i'm not talking about their religious beliefs, i'm basing my opinion on direct actions taken by the ones that i have had personal experience with.. thought some of you might be interested in the things that have been going on with me and jon's family.

  Kevin, many Jehovahs Witnesses are like that if not in action then in attitude especially towards homosexuals.

  I think it's very rare you will hear of a Jehovah's Witness commiting a hate crime against anyone. I'm sure there have been. And it would probably be announced they were Jehovah's Witness because it is rare. And any disdain Jehovah's Witnesses have for gays is stemmed from a deep belief in the bible. Anyone who reads the bible knows God does not like homosexual acts. I won't go as far as saying he doesn't like them personally because I'm not God. So of course, they think they shouldn't like them.
  And of course you have an idiot putting a nasty message on a car. But I won't lump the majority of JW's as being nasty or hateful. Because that is not my experience with them. Had I had the experience as the original poster I might.

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  Well in 7 August 1992 press release read the last paragraph where is clearly states "To be granted association status with DPI, NGOs .... support the Charter of the United Nations ....".

  Well in the 14 February 1992 press release read paragraph 5 on page 1 where it states "To be granted association status with DPI, NGOs .... support the Charter of the United Nations ....".

  If,... when they say that to be granted association status with the DPI and support the Charter of the UN... wouldn't that mean the human rights charter in regards to the WT? If so, would this still be a big deal?

  I have one question. You wrote that you had called the UN and the WT to get the info. from the "horses mouth" as it were. I can't recall you writing what you found out personally.>

  Since I had read a post with someone stating not to call the UN anymore because they were being bombarded with calls I felt bad. But I had to. So I explained as best I could to my cousin everything I knew. I said lets ask them 3 questions and make it short. So I let her write down what she wanted to know. This is how it went.

  Did the Watchtower apply for an NGO status. Answer. Yes

  Do you have to support the ideas of the UN in order to be accepted. Answer. Ofcourse

  Did the WT dissasociate themselves from the NGO status. Answer. Yes

  So then my cousin started crying. I was like awwww crap. So I said well lets call the WT and ask them. So I did.

  Here is how that went after being transferred 3 times.

  I asked, are you a NGO in the UN? Answer. No. (Ok that was stupid because they had dissasociated themselves lol)

  I asked, are you going to send a letter to the congregations regarding this matter. Answer. No

  I asked, were you ever a NGO in the UN? Answer. If you want to know anything write to the WT.

  I asked, whats the address? Answer. It's on the back of any WT publication. You can get it from there.

  I said, I can't I burned them. (I really didn't but he was such a drone I had to say something smart azz.

  Then my cousin really started crying so then I called the legal department. She was nicer. She said she didn't know how they got there. But that they would answer any questions if you sent them a letter. After *they* received info. Or you could wait to read a explanation in the "Questions for our Readers". And that's how it went.

  Yeah, sure, there is some hypocrisy. Just like in the rest of the world. Generally, though, the negative connotations are backed by FACTS. Such as the WTS disassociating themselves from the UN as a NGO after decades of preaching about their evilness. Gee, why would anyone get pissed about that? >

  Ofcourse, they should be pissed. But before I tell any of my JW family members I want to make sure that I know the answers to the questions that they will ask. Like, is the DPI the same as the UN. I was a JW I know what they are going to ask.

  I was a JW that was to damn nice. I looked up to the men that were "taking the lead". And ended up realizing that they were dickless wonders. I was pressured into going to Pioneer school. And hated every minute of it lol. Let's just say I was a push over. But I do realize it was my fault. I should have stood up for myself. There is a lot more typical stories.

  Yeah, I did... you are a numbskull if you can't answer a simple question. And then go into some piss-poor response like "go out in service, pray more, go to meetings it will make everything better". Like I even pray or do anything of those things.

  In the midst of all of this "discussion" I wanted to welcome you.

  If you have a sincere question, you can always start a separate post.

  Unless you use a subject similiar to the one that was used here, I doubt that anyone will call you a moron. There are many kind, compassionate people here. There are also many angry, hostile, and lost souls here too. Thankfully, they are the minority.

  I can't believe the big deal made about the title of the thread lol. Anyone who has read a lot of this forum which I have and thinks it's all about being nicey-wicey and answering "sincere questions" is seriously fooling themselves. There are hundreds of insults about JW's. But OMG don't even think about putting a negative connotation on anyone but the JW's. That is what I meant in my previous thread about Ex-JWs and hypocrisy. A lot (not all) are just as hypocritical as JW's. And what you call the "angry, hostile, and lost souls" maybe they are just being themselves now? And just because they don't conform to the "I'm sweet I sugar coat everything, even insults" doesn't mean they are really what you say. I don't have to pretend I'm something that I'm not anymore. And neither should they.

  If you noticed,the troll victoria had a lot of fun in the exchange we had. This was nothing more than playing with a troll.No newbie comes on a forum entitling a thread like that. She was out to 'play'.
  I'm sure my exchange offended some. That's ok,I dont lose sleep over that .Victoria came in here TO offend us.And the very title of her thread was designed to offend us.
  This was no sincere,honest poster lol. Trolls like this come and go on boards all the time. I'm surprised anybody took her seriously. Trolls accomplish one of two things here. It should alert one that their bullshit metter needs a tune up.

  In my first post it was a simple question. I also did not leave myself out of the equation of being a moron. I thought I could be wrong. If you have no spine and can't handle pointed questions is that my problem? What pissed me off numbnuts, is that Dung assumed I was a JW and stated, go out in service, go to meetings, and pray that will make everything better. He didn't even answer my SIMPLE question. So I said what would make me feel better is if I could shove a poll up his ass lol. And it would. Your problem Little Miss Bigot is that you obviously can't stand someone going against your line of thinking. Which is fine. Were all hypocrites at one time or another. But you are the one that has the JW mentality if you can't handle someone asking a question that might seem to against what you believe. Were you ever a JW? Maybe there is a glitch in your deprogramming. In that I case I'll put you under my category of "Special Circumstances".

  When did these Witnesses find out re UN?

  one thing i've noticed about these witness admissions of and justifications for the society's 10-year association with the un is that in many cases, the speakers sound as if they have known about the situation for a while.. otherwise, how can they justifiably come across as so cocksure if they've only learned about it now?.

  "of course we need to be registered with them for promoting human rights and the preaching work!

  it's just like being a legal corporation.

  I think a lot of Witnesses will claim they already knew. Because of the favorable light the WT was putting on the UN. In one of the 98 Awake mags the WT went to the UN and interviewed someone regarding the Human Rights charter.
